( small to medium enterprises ), who are looking for a flexible and cost effective answer to their internet requirements

We are happy to produce sites from simple online brochures to e-commerce solutions which tie your products and information databases to the internet.

All our sites are hand coded in conjunction with the latest development tools available for web site development. This allows for the greatest flexibility of design and browser compatibility rather than relying on any particular product and its limitations.

If you require special functionality from your site, then you are probably going to require customised server programming to perform these operations. At Virtual Designs we are able to carry this out, in house.

Integrating a database with your web site allows for the collection and distribution of data to the world, or just a select few who need easy access to current information. From design and implementation of a database through to its subsequent management, most projects can be handled by us.

You may already have an existing database that once integrated, you would like to maintain yourself. A simple system can be implemented whereby you can maintain your site database directly over the internet.
PRICES

Normally prices for web sites start from about £850 depending on the requirements. This is the minimum we would suggest a business spends to acquire a professional looking site which we term the 'Online Brochure'.

This would cover hosting costs for one year and an initial search engine submission. When producing a web site we ensure a high level of cross-browser compatibility. Remember, about 20 percent * of global browser use is non-'Microsoft Internet Explorer - version 4+' and this should be taken into account. We would not advise anyone to turn away up to a fifth of their potential client base.

We are happy to quote for updating works and search engine management for existing sites, or adding functionality to a site you have produced yourself that requires bespoke programming. All projects such as these can be quoted for, on an hourly rate.

We do not expect or insist upon a monthly maintenance charge, although you may find this a sensible approach if you will be requiring regular but small updates and amendments.
